Saint Pancras International is the new London railway terminal for Eurostar – express trains using high speed railway lines heading towards Europe:
the journey from London to Brussels takes just two hours; Paris can be reached in just two hours and fifteen minutes. Wanzl delivered 600 Travel 400 luggage transport trolleys, thereby providing passengers with a First Class travel service. Queen Elizabeth II herself opened the new £5.8 billion (€8.6 billion) High Speed 1 line, which connects London to the Euro tunnel under the English Channel.
The Brits have spent £800 million (€1.1 billion) alone in completely refurbishing the magnificent Victorian Saint Pancras building since 2001, whose demolition was the topic of
discussion several years previously. Underneath the breathtaking iron and steel roof construction is a monument of the deceased poet Sir John Betjeman, thanks to whom the unique construction was not torn down by bulldozers in the 1960s.
Wanzl provides all luggage transport trolleys delivered to 'Saint Pancras International' with travelator castors and coin deposit systems suitable for pound and euro coins. In addition, two Airport scooters were delivered, in order to be able to conveniently collect the trolleys and to save time transporting them to the next place they are needed in the busy station terminal.
