There is a current trend for fresh, crusty rolls being available in the supermarket for a convenient take-away service. The new BakeOff sales system for baked goods from Wanzl perfectly presents your bread, pretzels and pastries and gives customers an appetite for more. The attractive, à la mode presentation system naturally complies with the highest of hygiene requirements and ensures your baked goods are kept fresh. Wanzl developed the system in close collaboration with retail partners and it has therefore been designed with a clear understanding of practical requirements. We are fully aware, for example, that in Germany, the sale of unpackaged baked goods as part of a self-service set-up is only permitted under the strictest of conditions. The new BakeOff system has been awarded the "compatibility with foodstuffs" certificate by Bureau Veritas, one of the world's leading inspection, classification and certification organisations.

Convenient dispensing of goods

The BakeOff features all the dispensing modules required for the presentation of baked goods in a varied and tidy manner, from rustic bread to delicate pastries. The customer can remove products easily thanks to the pastry tongs and sliders. This means that every pastry ends up safely where it belongs. On request, Wanzl will also equip the BakeOff system with a goods chute as an alternative: the desired item of baked goods slides hygienically and conveniently directly into the bag. The presentation of baked goods that have already been packaged has also been thought of, with a patisserie module inclusive of blister hooks. When the sales process is so easy, customers are quick to make purchases! A special saliva and sneezing protection feature and a function for preventing the return of removed goods provide additional hygiene protection. A special coating ensures that the baked items slide neatly back into the modules.

Efficient processes including when cleaning

The distinguishing feature of goods filling is easy handling: the dispensing modules can be operated by the sales personnel either from the front or behind, depending on the space available and the processes used in the store. Cleaning the BakeOff system is also a piece of cake: Wanzl has come up with a completely new cleaning concept to solve what can be a challenging and time-consuming problem for retailers. The new sales system can be hygienically cleaned via a smooth process that is completed in just a few steps. Wanzl also supplies an extensive range of accessories, from vacuum cleaners, to bags and disposable gloves to a practical waste box.

The BakeOff also offers flexibility and excellent prospects for individual design. After all, a baked goods department is as unique as the store itself: perfect integration using a corporate design is just as possible as traditional or modern outfits. No limits – free rein for designs and when selecting materials. And naturally always adapted to the specific floor space. As a complete vendor, Wanzl is extending its new BakeOff system with trolleys and containers for in-house logistics for baked goods.
