Wanzl trainees achieve outstanding results

Young specialists shine with top marks in the 2014 chamber examinations

The completion ceremony for 26 young specialists from Wanzl's Leipheim and Kirchheim plants was held at the company's Creative Center in May this year. Gottfried Wanzl,Managing Partner of the Wanzl Group, thanked and commended the young workers for their outstanding work and commitment.

Wanzl provides young trainees with first-rate training. The outstanding results achieved in the chamber examinations this year are again testament to this: Of the 26 graduates, 13 achieved a grade of between 1 and 1.9, nine of whom even achieved between 1.0 and 1.5. In the presence of managers and the works council, Gottfried Wanzl and the trainers handed out the certificates, awards and prizes to twelve industrial mechanics (Johannes Dietmayer, Sebastian Fischer, Andre Heckelmüller, Natascha Kirchhof, Artur Liegl, Michael Niederwieser, Steffen Peiker, Maximilian Rauner, Patrick Simnacher, Tobias Stammler, Dominik Streit, Philipp Vereb), six precision mechanics (Matthias Brecheisen, Simon Götzfried, Markus Kreher, Daniel Miller, Peter Pfister, Robert Schiegg), four industrial administrative assistants (Christoph Bartl, Nadine Nalaskowski, Daniel Schuhmair, Kristina Zenetti), two electronics engineers for industrial engineering (Andreas Leinsle, Maximilian Snukat), one process engineer for coating technology (Cemil Balkaymak) and one graduate of the dual study programme at the University of Applied Management (FHaM) in Günzburg(Christoph Schäffler).

Special awards
Many of the young specialists from Wanzl received additional awards for their studies from the Swabian government and the vocational schools. Sebastian Fischer (industrial mechanic) performed exceptionally well and was awarded a special prize for the best results in the region. Gottfried Wanzl thanked the young workers on behalf of the Wanzl Group for their commitment during their training and studies. He also praised the trainers involved: "For many years you have been our guarantee of highly qualified specialists for the future.”

Lifelong learning – professional and social
Gottfried Wanzl expressed his delight that all graduates were offered a position at Wanzl in spring 2014 following their apprenticeship. He also encouraged them to continue developing their skills in the future and to not focus solely on gaining specialist expertise, saying, "Your period of training may be complete but the time for learning isn't over. Please remember the importance of your social and emotional skills too. Be ambitious in the pursuit of your goals, but never at the expense or cost of others."He called on the young workers to question things critically but to always take a constructive approach. Taken in conjunction with virtues such as honesty, courage, reliability and a willingness to help, this would lay the best possible foundations for professional success.
