Where wholesalers once haggled, Budapest residents now shop in a chic ambience. The store construction experts at Wanzl make it possible. 1,700 m2 of hall space were transformed into an exciting shopping area, thanks to a sophisticated concept. As the customer looks upwards, they discover the imposing ventilation pipes and the typical pattern of a corrugated sheet metal roof. In the deliberately minimalist overall look of the store, unique design elements such as the rope arrangement above the wines catch the eye.
The store welcomes its customers in a bright and friendly manner. Extra-long LED tubes over the entire length of the ‘wire tech 100’ shelving systems put the dry goods in the right light. In the fruit and vegetable section, as well as in the checkout area, the lighting is provided by large circular lights. Decorative wooden frames on the ceiling enhance the perfect first impression.
A solid wooden frame draws the shopper's attention to the BakeOff, which presents the fresh baked goods in an appetising and striking way. Just a few metres away are the sausages, meats and cheeses. As a special touch, the counters are staggered. The unique zigzag design is reflected above the counters by means of alternating ceiling elements made of plaster and wood.
