At two large training centres in Leipheim and Kirchheim, experienced staff members consistently provide training and further training to the young co-workers of tomorrow through continuous courses and the latest production processes. At the beginning of September 2013, a total of 31 new staff members commenced their industrial and commercial training as well as their dual study course at the Wanzl headquarters in Leipheim and at the plant in Kirchheim.
Gottfried Wanzl, Managing Partner of the Wanzl Group, welcomed the newcomers in the Creative Center at the headquarters in Leipheim. His welcome was accompanied by an introduction from the Plant Managers and Personnel Managers of the Wanzl plants in Leipheim and Kirchheim. "All of you have prevailed in what is a demanding selection process, and today you join a successful global company. Many thanks for your perseverance and for choosing Wanzl.” In the 2013 training year, the new staff will be starting their training as industrial mechanics, electricians, industrial experts, precision mechanics and machinery and plant operators. Two of the thirty-one youngsters will be beginning the dual course of study comprising the Ulm model/Production Engineering at the University of Ulm and management in industry at the DHBW in Heidenheim. On the first day of work there was a short and informative lecture about the company: in 1947, Wanzl set the ball rolling in the field of self-service and has been the global pacemaker for brick-and-mortar self-service retail ever since, selling around 2.5 million shopping trolleys and shopping transport trolleys every year. Likewise, Wanzl is one of the global leaders in customer guidance systems and luggage transport trolleys for airports and hotels.
