Four models, all relevant attachments and extensions, and a host of design options: With the new configurator for the Mundus housekeeping trolley on the company website, Wanzl Hotel Service is enabling hoteliers and caterers to make convenient purchases outside of normal business hours. The menu navigation guides the user easily from model selection, through customisation options based on the equipment range, to design options for the finish. “E-commerce is becoming increasingly important in our sector, too. After cooperating with the Lusini platform since the beginning of the year, we are now rounding off our online sales services with our own configurator,” explains Markus Spengler, Senior Vice President Sales Hotel & Material Handling. The Mundus design concept allows a great deal of freedom in terms of design, while eliminating the possibility of incorrect orders during online configuration. This is because the program does not accept any incompatible combinations. In addition, every request is subjected to a secondary check by the Wanzl team. The configurator is available in four languages.
A step-by-step process to the ideal Mundus
At the start of the configuration process, users can pick from the four trolley sizes. Body solutions and drawers are displayed immediately after this step. This is followed by possible body variants, their positioning and equipment options. The final step is to decide on the desired design: Users can choose from anthracite, natural oak and ebony body finishes and black metallic, titanium grey and gold metallic frame colours. Adjustments can be made throughout the configuration process without having to leave the menu guide. The result can be viewed in presentation mode from all sides and saved as a PDF. At the end, the user sends a request to the Wanzl team, which then checks and, if necessary, highlights optimisations. "The Mundus has been one of our bestsellers for many years, and now that we are addressing not only housekeeping, but also other areas of the hotel such as restaurants, terraces and spas, the demand is enormous. With the configurator, we not only offer our customers a user-friendly solution, but also take the pressure off our sales team," says Spengler.
