The stainless-steel housing contains high-tech equipment that offers the highest level of security for sensitive zones. As a fully automatic security barrier system, Galaxy Gate facilitates reliable control, authentication and separation of persons. The software-monitored, electromotive ESG swivel barriers only open following an authorised release pulse, thereby ensuring secure access. The time the barriers remain open can be adjusted, as can the dynamically programmable separation closing function, which scans and detects patterns of people and their behaviour and reacts immediately to misuse.
Galaxy Gate opens after receiving a corresponding release signal. Entry separation operates with rapid opening and closing in conjunction with an intelligent sensor. Authorised and correct passage is monitored by a ceiling sensor. In the event of misuse, the separation system issues visual and acoustic warning signals and immediately closes the swivel barriers. In emergencies, the swivel barriers can be forcefully pushed open. Misuse of this function will also be signalled visually and audibly. The swivel arm automatically resets in order for normal operation to resume. The system can be rotated freely when the power is disconnected.
External release devices, for example card readers, barcode readers (pictured left) and biometric hand vein scanners (pictured right), can be connected using LAN interface or a potential-free contact. It is also possible for mobile devices such as smartphones to communicate with the control unit of the Galaxy Gate via OSDP (Open Supervised Device Protocol) and prompt the gate to open. Fire alarm systems and building management systems have a designated place on the connection circuit board.
There are different versions of the Galaxy Gate security barrier system in individual CI colours. Dimensions as well as access width are customised for each building's architecture. Individual and tandem gates with barrier-free access for wheelchair users, pushchairs and for luggage are part of the series range. The Galaxy Gate security barrier system has been optimised for use in workplace security, public and cultural facilities, offices, trade fair centres and recreational facilities.
