Since the beginning of October, intralogistics specialist Wanzl has been offering its new 6D battery, an improved and more powerful energy solution for the mobile workstation and the KT3 “drive” order picking trolley. The compact lithium-ion battery is 20 per cent smaller and weighs significantly less than its predecessor. This makes everyday use and handling much easier. What's more, the 6D battery's attractive new case is just as robust as its predecessor's. The new battery is specifically designed to meet the needs of modern intralogistics. Attention has also been paid to details such as the capacity indicator. The five-level display is located directly on the battery, so you can see at a glance how much power is left in real time. Its higher energy density and 60 per cent longer life ensure longer operating time. This increases efficiency in day-to-day operations.
Use in the mobile workstation: even more flexibility and efficiency
The mobile workstation from Wanzl is an autonomous workstation on castors that provides space and power for your laptop, printer or monitor. Thanks to the new 6D battery, the mobile workstation can be used for even longer without interruption, enabling processes such as stocktaking and order picking to be consistent regardless of location. With the powerful energy source from Wanzl, the mobile workstation is ideal for working quickly and flexibly in the warehouse.
Improved performance of the KT3 “drive” order picking trolley
Wanzl's KT3 “drive”, an electrically powered order picking trolley, also benefits from the advantages of the new battery. The electrically powered fifth castor makes the trolley particularly agile and easy to manoeuvre - even with a load of up to 300 kg. The powerful new battery is securely mounted on the trolley in a space-saving slot. This makes working in large warehouses easier and ensures that the KT3 "drive" is always reliable, even in intensive applications. "With the new 6D battery, we are offering our customers a powerful solution to support their daily warehouse logistics operations. The increased mobility and longer operating times ensure even smoother processes and fewer interruptions," explains Markus Spengler, Senior Vice President Business Development International at Wanzl.
