Even in difficult times, Wanzl remains true to its social commitment and traditionally supports the Lions Club Günzburg at Christmas with a donation to a selected Lions Hilfswerk project. This year, the donation will be used to build ten deep wells around the village of Gofila in the southern foothills of the Sahel and to support projects in the education sector.
Wanzl handed over a total of 10,000 euros to the Lions Hilfswerk relief organisation. The company generously topped up the donations of its business partners and suppliers, from whom a donation in lieu of Christmas presents was requested. The full amount will be handed over by Lions Hilfswerk to the charitable association “Hilfe für Burkina Faso e.V.” (Aid for Burkina Faso), which manages the projects locally in Burkina Faso.

Its great social commitment has also become a matter close to our hearts," explains Gottfried Wanzl, Supervisory Board member of the Wanzl Group. In compliance with the currently applicable coronavirus rules, Gottfried Wanzl presented the cheque to Thomas Schoch (President of the Lions Club Günzburg) and Matthias Eisentraut (Treasurer of the Lions Club Günzburg), who were delighted: "On behalf of the Lions Club and the volunteers in Burkina Faso, we would like to thank Wanzl for their generous donation and the many years of support. We are grateful that we can count on Wanzl every year."
