Roll cages for central Europe

In the retail value creation chain, logistics plays a crucial role and is a key factor for success. The right quantities of goods need to reach stores on a daily basis, and at the right time. A major order has recently been received from England:

Wanzl has received an additional order for over 69,000 roll cages to optimise the distribution process between Tesco distribution centres and Tesco stores in central Europe. Coordinated by Wanzl UK, in close collaboration with the company headquarters in Germany and the Wanzl Hungary branch, roll-out for these containers started in 2016. The target destinations were Tesco distribution centres in Herceghalom and Gyál, Hungary, and the Teresin distribution centre in Poland. Wanzl fitters will complete final assembly of the containers on site by the end of spring 2017. Tesco had specific requirements for the roll cages, and Wanzl knew it had to meet these needs flawlessly. Some of the high load capacity, the sturdy containers have two side sections, and some are closed all round with doors. All the containers are folding and can be nested, saving valuable storage and transport space when empty.
