From the garage to the exclusive world of wine

French wines are recognised the world over as the epitome of quality. These fine wines are produced in prestigious wine-growing regions such as Burgundy, Champagne and Bordeaux. France is synonymous with indulgence and the finer things in life – and it is precisely this philosophy that has shaped exclusive specialist wine retailer La Cave du Vigneron, located in the little southern French town of La Garde. Not so very long ago, these 200 square metre premises in the Avenue de Draguignan was somewhere engines were repaired and oil changes carried out. In the meantime, however, the former garage has been transformed into a smart wine retailer, featuring premium wines from all over the world. Working with the couple who own the store, Wanzl planned, designed and completed the new, exclusive location in just three months, after which the store opened its doors – in almost record time.

The combination of wire tech 100 and high-rack product display systems with the multifunctional YourTable presentation system ensure that the wines on offer are showcased to perfection. The shop has been finished exclusively using Wanzl customised solutions, featuring an elegant blend of wire, wood and marble. The counter, reception and checkout areas are also customised, as is the wine tasting island, which is used for wine tastings focusing on selected vintners. The lighting concept integrated throughout the retail area accentuates and creates ambience, assists with customer guidance and draws the eye to the high-quality wines and spirits. The overall result is an exclusive store with a harmonious ambience, creating an air of indulgence and encouraging sales.
