Wanzl Logistics + Industry took part in the trade fair for the first time and presented itself as a competent intralogistics specialist. “LogiMAT China has become a must-attend event for us. It offers the ideal framework for strengthening our position as a global partner and service provider in the materials handling world," explains Markus Spengler, head of the Wanzl Logistics + Industry Division. The intralogistics expert from Leipheim showcased products from every application field. From the sorting trolley for incoming goods and order picking trolleys for books and other media to the KT3 order picking trolley and a nestable roll container for the shipping area.
The highlight of the booth was the latest component of the dynamic picking system, Dynamic Material Handling: the intelligent work glove, ProGlove MARK. Markus Spengler: "We tested the relevance of the intelligent work glove for the Chinese market in cooperation with ProGlove. We saw that there was a great deal of interest in it." With its innovative technology, the intelligent work glove makes a significant contribution to more efficient order picking. An integrated barcode scanner is located on the back of the ProGlove MARK, enabling the operator to scan the goods hands-free and thus comfortably and ergonomically. The function is controlled via a textile trigger inside the work glove. The scanning function, which works at the press of a button, accelerates and simplifies goods scanning as the worker now has both hands free. "The technology and the potential of the work glove was well received by our booth visitors. However, we still need to accurately evaluate the data gathered in a final analysis. Based on the results, we will make a decision as to whether we will introduce the product to the market in China," says Markus Spengler.
The conclusion regarding the trade fair is already positive: "It was a successful première for us. We welcomed numerous existing and new customers from our target groups, such as home delivery providers and the retail industry, to our booth and presented ourselves as a partner for the full intralogistics function," summed up Markus Spengler.
