When is a training course more than just a training course? When established experts give exciting, hands-on lectures, a trade exhibition presents innovations and the event takes place in an exclusive setting. Criteria that the ESD Network live conference meets in full. The German ESD Network will hold its annual conference on 20 March 2019 at the Zeiss Forum in Oberkochen near Aalen (Baden-Württemberg) in Germany.
Conference programme
The partners of the German ESD Network network – a joint partnership of the companies Karl, Keinath Electronic, Nora Systems and Wanzl – have planned an interesting programme. After the official welcome, two specialist presentations will highlight current challenges facing the industry. First, Arben Mazlomaj (Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH) will describe the organisational measures for ESD protection in production processes. Harald Funk (Conti Temic microelectronic GmbH) will then discuss ESD testers and active implants. Following a short coffee break, the participants will delve into more than 170 years of innovation history during a guided tour of the Carl Zeiss Museum – a fascinating journey through the world of optics. Lunch and the trade exhibition on new developments in the fields of Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA), workplace, storage, packaging and transport, access control and employee training will provide ample time for intensive discussions. In the afternoon, another two technical presentations will round off the programme. Markus Keinath (Keinath Electronic GmbH) will give an overview of the current status of the ESD standards series and also venture a look into the future. Finally, Karl-Heinz Vandrey (Carl Zeiss Meditec AG) will report on ESD access concepts in assembly processes.
