The best news comes from Wanzl: The completion ceremony for 24 young specialists from Wanzl's Leipheim and Kirchheim plants was held at the Creative Center at the end of March this year. In 2017, the trainees again achieved top marks in the chamber examinations of the IHK and HWK, and Wanzl offered all junior employees a job.
Top marks for the training at Wanzl
The Wanzl management, represented by Frank Derks and Harald P. Dörenbach, thanked and commended the young workers for their outstanding work and commitment. At Wanzl the work with young talent is on the right track, as the first-class achievements in the chamber examinations confirm yet again. Of a total of 24 graduates, 13 finished with a top grade of 1 (based on the German academic grading system where 1 is the top result and 5 is the lowest result), two of them with a grade point average higher than 1.5. “An investment in knowledge still pays the best interest," Frank Derks quoted American statesman Benjamin Franklin at the course completion ceremony. He encouraged the young specialists to “also continue to further develop themselves in the future”.
The new specialists at Wanzl
Frank Derks and Harald P. Dörenbach jointly with the trainers, managers and the Wanzl works council handed out the certificates, awards and gifts to twelve industrial mechanics (Celal Acikgöz, Fabian Fiedler, Lennart Frey, Thomas Heinle, Nico Hempe, Dennis Hopp, Saskia Mayer, Nicolas Melchinger, Laura Rösner, Fabian Schieferle, Dennis Schmidt and Julian Schütz), four precision mechanics (Florian Amman, Maximilian Schauer, Michael Wohnlich, Manuel Wolf), four industrial administrative assistants (Corinna Höb, Niklas März, Karolin Stark, Sebastian Wiesheu), three electronics engineers for industrial engineering (Steffen Feiertag, Stefan Fürst, Thomas Schmid) and one machine and plant operator (Kushtrim Kadriu).
Further training
Many of the young specialists from Wanzl received additional awards for their studies from the Swabian government and the vocational schools. In parallel with their training, six industrial mechanics (male), one industrial mechanic (female) and one industrial administrative assistant (male) have completed further training as quality management specialists at the Swabian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Schulpreis (German school award) was awarded to Kushtrim Kadriu as machine and plant operator.
