Queues at the checkout? All a thing of the past at the self-checkout with scanning station, ticket machine and eGate exit gate. Wanzl will be showcasing this new, complete system for the checkout area at EuroShop.
As a first step, customers scan the goods at the upstream self-checkout stations using a hand-held scanner. Then they pay at the ticket machine featuring interactive menu guidance either in cash or by credit or debit card and the system prints a receipt. Once all items have been scanned and paid for, the Railix Color LED divider unit changes colour and eGate allows customers to pass. The barriers automatically return to their original position once customers have passed them. The eGate system features a panic alarm as standard to prevent misuse.
