Whether they're used in logistics centres, gyms or office buildings – for more than 50 years, Wanzl has been the expert for efficient and high quality access systems. Under the motto “Solutions for Tomorrow – Navigating the World of Access Solutions”, Wanzl and its software partner ASTRUM IT are inviting visitors to the world-leading Security trade fair from 17 to 20 September 2024 in Hall 6 at Stand 6F38. Wanzl will be presenting the extensive areas of application for its access solutions in the three different fields of inventory protection, fitness and facility management. The focus will be on the innovative combination of the Galaxy Gate 1.1 access gate with the Galaxyport as a random generator for access control.
Inventory Protection – The Future of Access Control
When it comes to entering and leaving businesses, security takes a very high priority in order to protect against items from being taken without authorisation or materials and goods being stolen. However, employees and visitors alike should always be made to feel welcome and not like they are being scrutinised. To guarantee this, an innovative product combination of the Galaxy Gate 1.1 access gate with the Galaxyport as a random generator for access control will be presented at Security. The special feature of this setup is the Galaxyport, which acts as a switch. After passing through the Galaxy Gate 1.1, which authenticates access authorisation in advance, the person is guided through the Galaxyport via two routes with customer guidance systems, similar to customs checks at airports. The ESG swivel arms open alternately on one of the two routes according to the random generator. This allows random access controls to be carried out to increase security and prevent inventory differences.
The upstream Galaxy Gate 1.1 access gate combines convenience and functionality with the highest level of security. It is easy to operate, absolutely reliable and can be stylishly adapted to the respective CI. After the authorised release pulse, e.g. by means of a barcode, RFID card or biometric facial recognition, the Galaxy Gate 1.1 opens its toughened safety glass swivel arms and optional ceiling sensors additionally scan people flows and behavioural patterns and monitor that the process is going smoothly. Wanzl Gates are equipped with integrated, intelligent sensor technology for increased security. These sensors report tampering attempts or people who try to gain access without authorisation, such as by crawling under or over.
Fitness – The Future of Gyms
24-hour access to the gym – a service that is becoming ever more attractive in the often very busy lives of working professionals. At Security, Wanzl will demonstrate how this can be achieved without significantly higher personnel costs and shift models. With the two-arm Sirio turnstile, Wanzl offers an ideal access solution for individual entry with minimal space requirements. The rotation gives one person access in
the direction of travel, while the second arm simultaneously blocks the direction of passage. In addition to its easy handling and compact size, it impresses with its long-lasting, hassle-free functionality.
As an optional extension, the Galaxyport from Wanzl with variable passage widths of up to 1,200 mm offers barrier-free passage for wheelchair users and goods suppliers as well as an additional escape route solution. The access point opens in two directions either via a control panel or an RFID reader integrated in the glass dome. The integrated sensor system detects which direction the toughened safety glass swivel arm needs to open in. Both access systems provide an unimpeded escape route in an emergency. The Sirio is freely rotatable and the Galaxyport opens in the direction of exit.
At Security, Wanzl will also be presenting a prototype of a new information and service terminal that can easily and autonomously control the purchase of day tickets or membership passes and provide members with useful information. This allows gym visitors to quickly and conveniently gain access authorisation. An interactive user guide takes users through each step in the menu. Clear instructions appear on a large touch screen that tells you what to do intuitively. In addition, LED strips indicate the operating status of each action field in the terminal housing. All common payment methods are available, from credit card to cash and NFC. Barcode, ticket or RFID card printing systems are available.
