A wide range of variants
The Wanzl range of order picking trolleys offers a variety of models for different load capacity classes. At the heart of this portfolio are the KT 2, 3 and 4 series. The Wanzl KT3 model with its fifth wheel and optional electric drive has proved particularly effective for logistics operations in the medium load class. It represents a significant contribution by Wanzl towards easing employee workload. Each KT series from Wanzl consists of a modular and flexible base model with an extensive range of accessories. More than 500 variants can be created based on this concept. Furthermore, lightweight aluminium and composites are becoming increasingly popular materials for trolleys, alongside the more traditional steel and wood. Wanzl adapts base models upon request to create bespoke solutions, tailored specifically to suit storage systems and product range/ordering structures. For example, order picking trolleys for particular project needs can be developed for industry-specific solutions requiring specialist structures or to meet transportation requirements. The very latest in trolley technology is also available, with electronic add-ons such as screens, scanners and pick-to-light equipment. The result is economically optimised, time and cost-saving logistics processes – from product supply through to despatch or the workplace – leading ultimately to improved competitiveness.
New: KT4 “drive” with electric drive feature
The best example of this product competence is the new KT4 “drive” order picking trolley with electrically-driven fifth wheel: the robust and extremely durable model has a load capacity of up to 400 kilograms. The electrically driven fifth wheel allows even heavy goods to be picked without the additional use of carriages or forklift trucks. Both staff and the vehicle fleet are thereby relieved of stresses and strains, thus increasing the efficiency of logistics operations. A special lithium polymer battery with improved charging capacity supplies power to the drive and requires little charging time before returning to work. Other features of the battery are its long service life and continuously high performance. If the battery needs replacing, its lighter weight and small dimensions make replacement all the easier. If desired, the storage battery also takes over the mobile electricity supply to electronic equipment such as screens, scanners and pick-to-light equipment.
