Tropical islands in the Indian Ocean are dream destinations for travellers from all over the world: with plenty of sun, sea, sand and relaxation, they provide a simply heavenly escape from mass tourism. The transport hubs for guests in the middle of the Indian Ocean are the international airports of the Seychelles, the Maldives and Mauritius. As soon as they have landed, passengers are met with the comfort of luggage transportation using tried-and-tested Wanzl technology. Since June 2011 1,000 Wanzl luggage trolleys have been in action in Malé International Airport in the Maldives. This September a further 450 luggage transport trolleys will be delivered to the international airport in the Seychelles. And at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport in Mauritius, Wanzl has been taking care of passenger comfort when it comes to luggage transport for several years already
The three airports chose Wanzl as their supplier because of the quality of the materials used and their manufacturing processes: all trolleys are made of aluminium or stainless steel and are consequently extremely durable, while their surfaces will remain spotless despite the high salt content of the air caused by the airports' proximity to the sea. All these deliveries are first orders. The trolleys were all produced at the manufacturing facilities in Leipheim and Kirchheim – according to Wanzl’s highest quality standards. Managing partner Gottfried Wanzl is delighted with the extremely positive development of the “Airport” business division: “Wanzl products are valued around the world." For Wanzl’s locations in Swabia, these orders from three of the most exclusive holiday destinations in the world demonstrate that the quality of Wanzl products has once again prevailed over its international competitors.
